I like this haiku especially because of those opposites « the fragile beauty of jasmine » and the « hard iron gate ». Very well done …

Yes, this is a very strong contrast, but fragrance of jasmine is also very strong. Thank you very much Kristjaan !

Andalousie..je me souviens…reminds me of that great song. The idea of haiku in French and in English is starting to grow on me….

Andalucia is very special because of the Moorish inheritance.
I love your bilingual idea ! 🙂 So, I look forward to reading from you.
Thank you very much.

I agree with Kristjaan about the contrast between the wrought iron and the jasmine, but I also appreciate the strength of the jasmine perfume. What stands out for me is that the ‘swirl of jasmine’ is behind the gates, like a prisoner or a possession – it belongs to someone else but we can still enjoy its scent!

Exactly ! Its so strong – it’s a swirl- that it needs to be kept behind a gate of iron. Evenings in Andalucia are very warm, and the perfumes are very strong, much more than during the day. They « escape » in the night. 🙂
Thank you very much, Kim !

Interesting to imagine what is going on behind those gates.
